Chris Drummond

Chris Drummond was born and raised in Taupo, New Zealand.

Chris always had a flair and passion for art and caught a lot of attention in his childhood after participating and winning numerous pavement art competitions. His avid love for drawing and animation led him to become totally involved in cartooning and caricatures. It was the background detailing which became his forte. He developed an eye for intimate detail and began concentrating on more complex works, incorporating textures and optical illusions.

Trying to emulate the great masters, he painted all the classic works of da Vinci - Michelangelo - Rembrandt among others. Developing his own trademark technique. As a teenager, he was renowned for his ability to recreate images on canvas and began to design and paint many production show backdrops and decorations.

As an entertainer, he also developed his love for legendary performer who was instantly recognised as "The Man from Memphis" - not only the man and his music.... But also his many expressions and infamous poses.

Combining his passion for music and putting paint to canvas, it has led Chris to the introduction of "The Man from Memphis" collection. A collection of detailed and instantly recognisable poses of the greatest entertainer of all time... plus many, many more outstanding celebrities waiting in the wings.

Chris's most famous work can be seen during Elvis week in Memphis at Gracelands Crossing and on the roadway outside of Gracelands gates during the Candle light vigil.
